1992.
The boys were both born in 1992. Daniel in the January; an only child and Thomas in the March; the youngest to two elder sisters. They both grew up 15 miles apart in wee towns North of Dundee, Scotland.
2005.
The boys starred in rival productions of the musical, Oliver! in Dundee. Thomas played the title role while Daniel played his sidekick, Artful Dodger. Although, they didn’t meet here, they like to think it was the first instance of the universe willing them together.
2009.
They boys were on the same flight to Turkey. They never realised this until years later when they were in a queue at the airport and were reading through their passports. Another example of the universe willing them together.
2010.
The boys finally meet. Together, they commence their Higher Education of Musical Theatre at a college in Scotland, and they both feel an overwhelming sense of respect for each other. Thomas, a little quieter and more reserved was intimidated by Daniel’s gregariousness, while Daniel was intimidated by Thomas’s unwavering grounding and self-awareness.
2011.
The boys move in together as best friends. They grow closer and closer everyday, fully immersing themselves into each other’s life.
1st February 2012.
The boys proclaim their love for each other after they share their first kiss.
Summer 2012.
They boys move down to London to finish their training in Musical Theatre at Drama School.
1st February 2015.
The boys mutually decide to get married (although Daniel makes Thomas buy him a diamond and propose).
1st February 2017.
The boys get married in Dundee. A city that is close to both their hearts in front of all their friends, family and loved ones.
Summer 2017.
The boys move to Edinburgh to be closer to family.
Thomas launches his Photography business and Daniel begins a career in academia, lecturing in Singing and Vocal Anatomy at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
2020.
The boys lose almost all their self-employed work for the foreseeable future and begin to post daily unrehearsed first-take videos of them singing in an attempt to spread a little joy to those struggling during the Covid pandemic.
Spring 2021.
The boys start writing their own music after feeling inspired by the success of their unrehearsed videos. Daniel writes the lyrics and together, they write the melodies and music.
1st December 2021.
The boys release their very first single! A Christmas song called “Christmas with the Schlordts”.
Early 2022.
The boys release their second single, “Hold My Hand” shortly followed by a full album, “Life Has No Manual”.
August 2022.
The boys are swimming in the sea in Hawaii at 3am and decide their lives need to change. They quit their jobs as a photographer and lecturer, sell their flat and car and go to work on cruise ships as singers. Their beagle, Sansa goes to live with Granny and Grandad Schlordt.
December 2022.
Daniel releases his first fiction novel, ‘Out There’ available at Amazon and WHS Smith. Out There follows a family on their annual staycation; however, more than the views are waiting for them and their idyllic weekend son descends into terror.
December 2023.
The boys release a new Christmas song called ‘Gift Wrapped’
January 2024.
Daniel releases his second fiction novel, ‘The Broken’ available at Amazon and WHS Smith. The Broken is a drama following a man through fifteen years of his life and how repression has a butterfly effect through generations.
